The same at every tier
These proportions hold whatever the price. Of our aggregate net revenue across all products — the amount remaining after applicable taxes — Solacio currently allocates about 76% to charitable funding and about 4% to administrative handling through our impact partner. About 20% remains with Solacio for running and developing the platform.
The ~76% allocated to the cause and the ~4% used for impact-partner routing and handling together account for approximately 80% of Solacio's net revenue.
The percentages shown are rounded and may vary slightly due to taxes, refunds, currency conversion and payment processing. Figures are reviewed periodically and updated when our operating model changes.
We publish this report voluntarily. This page is provided for transparency only and does not form part of your purchase contract. It describes how DW Selection UG currently runs its business. Nothing on this page gives you a claim to a specific payment, a specific organization, or a specific proportion. We may adjust these proportions or replace a partner organization; this page changes with it.

- Is my payment a donation?
- No. Your payment purchases Solacio's digital service. Solacio independently finances charitable organizations from its own funds.
- How does Solacio use the purchase price?
- Solacio currently allocates approximately 76% of its aggregate net revenue — after applicable VAT/sales tax — to charitable funding, approximately 4% to impact administration, and approximately 20% to operating the platform. These proportions describe Solacio's company-wide allocation, not a division of your individual payment.
- Which organizations does Solacio support?
- Solacio funds three nonprofit organizations, verified by our impact partner, as part of its service: One Tree Planted (reforestation), World Central Kitchen (disaster-relief meals), and Doctors Without Borders (medical crisis care). You choose which one we support.
- What is the Certificate of Release?
- The Certificate of Release is a personalized PDF emailed to you after your purchase. It records that you named a burden and took the step, on a given date. It is a marker of the act, not absolution.
- Can I deduct my purchase from taxes?
- No. Solacio is operated by DW Selection UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a company registered in Berlin, Germany. It is not a charity, and you purchase a product in return, so the payment is not a tax-deductible donation.
- How much does it cost?
- Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout, starting at $19 / €29 for Tier I and from $299 / €359 for Tier V. You can always pay more than the minimum.
- Can I give a release to someone else?
- Yes. You can purchase a release as a gift; the recipient receives the Certificate of Release in their own name by email and is never asked to pay.
- Does this erase what I did?
- No. The act does not erase what happened and does not replace an apology, therapy, the law, or repair. It is a first step that turns idle guilt into one concrete good — nothing more, nothing less.
- Is Solacio legitimate?
- Solacio is operated by DW Selection UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a company registered in Berlin, Germany. From its revenue, Solacio funds three nonprofit organizations verified by our impact partner Pledge, a US-based platform: One Tree Planted, World Central Kitchen, and Doctors Without Borders. Transfers are recorded in the public ledger and may be verified through the certificate code against the published transfer record.
- How and when does Solacio fund the cause?
- Solacio funds the chosen organization through its impact partner Pledge, in regular batches rather than after each individual purchase. Batches are published in the public ledger, identified by transfer and verifiable against your certificate. Solacio funds the cause from its own revenue and does not hold money on the cause's behalf.
- What happens to the burden I name?
- The burden you name is used to generate your Certificate of Release and is never published. It appears on your own certificate only if you choose to have it printed — and for the heaviest categories, never at all. Solacio receives it, records the act, and keeps the record private.
Solacio works with Pledge, a US-based impact partner, to handle the transfer to the cause. Solacio is a company, not a charity — what it earns funds the work.
Where a purchase is made in a currency other than USD, the amount Solacio forwards is converted to USD at the European Central Bank reference rate on the day of the order, for accounting purposes (or, where the payment itself was converted, at that transaction's exchange rate). This rate may differ from the rate shown on your own payment statement.
